As I wrote in my last post the distance to the beach was quite far, therefore we rented a couple of bicycles one day, the one above is my beauty. I don’t know why but apparently they thought I should have a ladies bike and Till got one of those ball crushers..
I can’t remember if I’ve ever taken a ride on a beach before, but because the tide was low, the sand was really hard and there was no problem doing it here. There are 3 (named) beaches you can go to from Soure, we chose the closest one, Praia Barra Velho, really nice beach with a lot of small restaurants.
Being at a tropical and exiting place like this it is hard not to walk into the forest for a little glimpse. It took about 15 seconds until Till started to scream because something bit him in the feet, we have no idea what it was, but we ran back to the beach faster than you can say Jericoacoara.
Even though the forest didn’t like us, and even though the water is full of nasty stingrays I give this place the same thing as I give all places I like, 2 thumbs up!
In the next post I will tell you of a near death experience.
