It’s real name is Catedral Metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro or Catedral de São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, seat to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro. This church lies surrounded by beautiful & modern skyscrapers in the center of Rio de Janeiro, constructed by a Edgar Fonceca.
I wouldn’t say it’s a specially beautiful church, why?I don’t know what you think, but I don’t think it’s very beautiful. It looks just like one of those concrete things you put on the roads when you don’t want anyone to pass by with a car. Okay, it’s a cool construction, and if you yell from the top it should sound just like god is above, but who has such a big mouth?
Anyhow, did I mention it’s beautiful inside? With it’s height of 75 meters and 96 meters in diameter it can fit 20 000 people standing, thats 19 923 more than 77 (true fact) So, is this place worth a visit? Yeah.. Maybe. I liked it, atleast the insideLast but not least, I would like to give you a WARNING! This guy is standing on the other side seen from the front entrance, it might be tempting to walk into the light, and he sure looks nice. But I can assure you, there is NO CANDY on the other side!
