..bad weather? Unfortunately it does :/ We’ve had a couple of days with rain and clouds down here in Rio, but instead of sitting inside the hostel whining, we’ve taken a few strolls around the city. If you haven’t noticed I’ve hanged a lot with this dude Gerson. Really nice brazilian guy who I met the first day at the hostel, since very very very few brazilians talk english and he does, plus he knows the city, I’ve seen and done a lot of things I wouldn’t have done without him. Right now I’m actually visiting his home town, it’s about 6 hours bus-drive north of Rio.As you can see the beaches get really empty when the sun is gone.
Because of the weather and not entirely safe places we visited this day, I decided to leave my D800 at home and took all shots with my iPhone instead, therefore the not so good image quality. The contrast between rich and poor are really huge in this city, something we couldn’t miss this day walking the downtown.
I just loved these stairs in the creepy Lapa district. It’s supposed to be the best place to party when you’re in Rio, I haven’t tried it out myself yet, maybe I’ll do it when I’m back in Rio in december.
Anyhow, time to edit some pictures from our city tour the other day.
Take care! /Erik
